Indian Festival Melbourne 2023 — Foodie Trails
Place: Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne VIC
Date and Time: 12th August to 13th August; 10 am to 4pm
Queen Victoria Market will host the annual Indian Festival on Saturday and Sunday. The festival will celebrate India’s culture and cuisine with various performances, workshops, and stalls.
The festival will take place in the C&D Shed of the market, which will be covered to protect the event from the weather. Visitors can enjoy hot and spicy dishes from different regions of India, as well as fusion flavours. They can also sip on chai and watch or join in the dance and music shows.

The ’90s & ’00s Bollywood Flashback Party ft BALLY SAGOO
Place: Metrocity, Northbridge WA

Metro City Concert Club will celebrate the Indian Independence Day weekend with the best of Bollywood and Bhangra remixes from the golden era of music.
Bally Sagoo is a British-Indian music producer and DJ who is widely regarded as the godfather of Bollywood and Bhangra remixes.
The party will also feature Bhangrology, a live band that plays a fusion of Bhangra, Bollywood, and electronic music. The band consists of MixtaBishi, Prodiji, Gugz, ElectroSim, DholBySaj, Mowgli, and other special guests.

Indian Australian Idol & Dancing Star 2023
Place: The Don Moore Community Centre
Date and Time: 26th August; 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Opera Events Australia is organising a nationwide singing and dancing competition called Indian Australian Idol & Dancing Star 2023. The competition will showcase the talent and diversity of the Indian Australian community in three categories: Singing, Dancing, and Popular Choice.
The finalists will be selected from auditions held across Australia. The singers will perform with a live band, while the dancers will perform with a track. The audience will also be able to vote for their favourite contestant for the popular choice award.
The competition will be hosted by a star anchor, who will entertain the crowd with jokes and trivia. The winners will receive cash prizes and trophies, as well as recognition and exposure in the media. The competition is open to anyone who is of Indian origin or has an interest in Indian culture and music.

Bollywood Night with Umesh Barot

Umesh Barot is a famous Bollywood singer and performer. The event will feature his popular songs and dance numbers that will make the audience groove to his tunes.
The event is a rare chance to see Umesh Barot perform live in Australia and enjoy the lively and colourful culture of Bollywood.
